Children's Faith Formation Junior High

Our junior high school classes are a 3 year Bible Study program. Youth in 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th grades are invited to participate in this three year program. Youth will also practice prayers, learn new vocabulary, and continue sacramental formation.

Junior High Year 1: Introduction to the Bible. Students will be introduced to the Bible through the experiences of the "Great Heroes" found throughout Scripture. A survey of the men and women of faith, this course meets in the upstairs of the Parish Center.

Junior High Year *2: A Look at the Old Testament. Students study more deeply Old Testament scripture and the ways God calls us into relationship with Him. Class meets in the upstairs of the Parish Center.

Junior High Year *3: The New Testament: Trusting in God's Faithfulness. Having had a strong foundation already in Scripture, students will continue their reflections and studies of how God continues to reveal Himself in our daily lives. Students will explore their gifts and ways to share these in the world. Class meets in the upstairs of the Parish Center.

*prerequisites for Year 2 & 3 is a comfortable understanding of the Bible (independently able to look up passages, modest to moderate knowledge of the Bible), inquistive and have an openness to share.

Class Schedule & Information

Following 9 am Sunday mass, class begins at 10:15 am and ends at 11:45 am. All classes meet twice a month.  All classes will gather in the upstairs of the Parish Center.

Each youth will receive a St. Mary's Press Breakthrough Bible the first year. There will be a one time only increased fee to cover the cost of the Bible in addition to the annual fee.

• Once submitted, you will be prompted to make a payment via PayPal or credit card. The annual fee for CFF C classes is $50 for the program and a one time fee of $25 for the St. Mary's Press Breakthrough Bible. Checks may be sent to: St. Joseph Parish, Attn: CFF, 732 18th Ave. E, Seattle, WA 98112.
• If we do not already have a copy, please send your child(ren)'s baptismal certificate to the Director via email, snail mail or fax.

Once we have received all of the above, your child will be enrolled and an email will be sent to the family. Financial assistance is available upon request. Please Contact: cff@ with questions.
