Tina O'Brien

Director of Advancement

Tina O’Brien is a 4th generation Seattleite and longtime member of our parish and school community.

She holds a master's degree in not-for-profit leadership and brings to St. Joseph Parish and School 20 years of experience in institutional advancement for Catholic institutions. She has provided leadership in organizations such as Catholic Community Services (Catholic Charities), the Society of Jesus - Oregon Province, and Seattle University.

In 2010, Tina was retained by the Roman Curia of the Society of Jesus to create and present culturally sensitive fundraising instruction for Jesuits of Africa and Madagascar, Eastern Europe, South America, India and East Asia/Oceania. Tina also developed the Society of Jesus U.S. Ministry of Management Institute course on Advancement.

Tina, her husband, Lance Ginaven, and their children, Gracie and Xavier, are active community volunteers and are members of a Saturday food team for St. Martin de Porres Shelter. Tina has served on many organizational and development boards such as the Society of Jesus US Assistancy Advancement Council, St. Edward School Commission, Historic Seattle Council (a preservation development authority for the City of Seattle), SEEL Puget Sound and the Ignatian Spirituality Center.
