Education, Formation, Prayer and Service
St. Joseph’s LGBTQ Ministry welcomes members of St. Joseph’s Parish who are LGBTQ identified and allies. We welcome LGBTQ individuals and families who are new to the Catholic Church or want to reconsider the church through our ministry. We seek to develop a supportive community through fellowship, spiritual growth through exploration of Ignatian Spirituality, education, formation, prayer and service. We desire to serve both the St. Joseph’s Parish community as well as the larger community, and to be a ministry of presence for LGBTQ Catholics.
We come from a variety of backgrounds and life experiences and are united in our desire to seek the Living God. None of us takes our faith life for granted but rather celebrate our desire for God in the midst of the Church.
For more information about the ministry, or if you are interested in joining us, getting involved, planning events, or giving us more ideas and feedback, please email LGBTQ Ministry Coordinator Theresa Lukasik at lgbtq@ for more information.
If you would like to do coffee with a member of the ministry, feel free to email us also. You are welcome to join us at our monthly planning meeting, the 3rd Tuesday of the month from 7:00 – 8:30 PM in the Xavier Room of the Parish Center.
