Parish Family Advisory Council
Parish Family Advisory Council Update
At the beginning of our Partners in the Gospel process, I promised that the appointment of the Parish Family Advisory Council (PFAC) would be an open process. I asked our four faith communities to prayerfully consider serving on this consultative body. I was blown away by the response! Over 30 candidates were willing to take a leap of faith and put their name in or accept nomination to the PFAC. During our communal discernment the overwhelming sentiment echoed by all was a general feeling that regardless of who was chosen, our parish family will be in good hands with the PFAC.
After prayerful discernment, in consultation with our Parish Family Leadership Team I have invited the following people to serve on the PFAC.
St. Therese: Brenda Fackler, Sara Cotto, Sharon Spence-Wilcox, and David Okada
St. Patrick: Karla Bocek and Polly Young
St. Joseph: Jim Dean, Wendy Kristek, Peter Heymann, and Carmen Bendixen
St. Mary: David Coffey
There will be frequent opportunities for EVERYONE… and I mean everyone in our parish family to participate and contribute their gifts and talents towards the goal of becoming One Canonical Parish. We will not be successful if we think that the PFAC or the staff or the Parish Family Leadership Team will be the only ones involved. The Partners in the Gospel Process needs EVERYONE!
Going forward, you will hear regular updates on the work of the PFAC. For now, I ask everyone’s prayers for those who serve on this important council! Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions you have.

So, let us move forward, without fear, together, hand in hand with God and with one another other! We are followers of Christ. Christ goes before us…Humanity needs him as the bridge that can lead us to God and his love. Help us, one and all, to build bridges through dialogue and encounter, joining together as one people.
