Confirmation

Sacraments are "powers that come forth" from the Body of Christ, which is ever-living and life-giving. They are actions of the Holy Spirit at work in his Body, the Church. They are "the masterworks of God" in the new and everlasting covenant.

Sacraments are signs of God's grace in our lives - opening us to the presence of God in the world and in ourselves. Catholics have seven Sacraments that we believe were instituted by Christ and entrusted to the Church for God's people.

Confirmation is one of the three Sacraments of Initiation. That is, this initiation sacrament, is through which individuals are welcomed into the faith of Christ. The other two Sacraments are Baptism and Eucharist.
